I don’t know if it’s true. It could be true but it felt odd, perhaps even wrong when I first heard of Tom Brady retiring less than a week after his 22nd season ended. The breaking news of TB12’s retirement has yet to be confirmed by Brady; says his agents and the Bucs. But I already tweeted my goodbye. I think at 44 years old, TB could have 5 more years left of playing.. It would seem odd to have a season of football without him. However there are reports that he feels as if he has accomplished all he can as a player.
Seven SuperBowl titles! No other quarterback in the history of the game can brag and say they have matched Brady in championships. However, before I list all of his accomplishments I simply must state - TOM BRADY IS THE GOAT. Tom Brady is the best quarterback to play in the history of the NFL. These are my opinions and very few people would debate.

Brady as Mr.199 coming out of University of Michigan was a glitch in the system, he is an outlier, he was not supposed to change the way people see the quarterback position. But because of his greatness we know what is possible. Brady however is not without controversy, there are many fans who think he’s a cheater because of deflategate. However, I think every single team and player lives by a small cheat code - “if you ain’t trying to cheat- you ain't trying”. In reality it’s difficult to go out and win a game every weekend during the season and Brady has done that consistently! I can’t say he didn’t cheat, but I do know after that scandal the New England Patriots won the SuperBowl with a HUGE chip on their shoulder en route to the championship game.
Time after time Brady has been treated less than or considered “washed” and each time someone or some storyline challenges his greatness, he responds. When he left the New England Patriots, I was shocked! I was even more surprised to hear that there were teams around the league who considered him “done”. Brady won the chip his first season as a washed quarterback for the Bucs.

Very similar to how Michael Jordan had imaginary beef - or perhaps it was real - nonetheless it motivated him as a player. The same drive I see in Brady. Only greats can remember the pain that fuels them and forget everything that doesn’t propel them. So while we wait on the news of his official retirement - I believe - without a doubt- Tom Brady is the best to ever do it!
